THE TEAM BEHIND THE DOCKYARD LAUNCHES THE GASWORKS BREWBAR
A 21ST CENTURY LOCAL PUB ON FIRST STREET IN THE CITY CENTRE
Manchester beer scene is booming and is out pouring, pint- for- pint many European cities, and on Friday 28th October 2016, The Gasworks brew bar officially opens its doors of the first micro-brewery bar in the heart of the city, satisfying beer lovers growing interest and discerning taste for authentic craft beer and house brews.
The Dockyard team, with years of beer credentials, have created The Gasworks Brewbar on First Street, which is named after the old Gaythorn Gasworks site.
The Gasworks Brewbar offers a new dining and drinking space, where up to three beers at a time are brewed on-site. The micro-brewery is displayed in a glass box with a mirrored wall, allowing customers – wherever they are seated in the room – to experience a full view of the brewing process and giving them instant access to taste the freshest beers in Manchester.
The signature brew of the 21st century local pub is named Refractory Pale Ale and has been chosen to celebrate the official launch opening on Thursday 27th October, and will be available on tank rotation and brewed by in-house brew masters.
Managing Director Steve Pilling said: “The Gasworks Brewbar is an evolution of the Dockyard concept, which is essentially a 21th Century local pub. It is brought to you by passionate beer experts, taking a modern day pub to a new level with the introduction of brewing on site, which is no longer located in the basement and instead installed as a beautiful feature.”
Beer will be served alongside classic pub food dishes, from Sunday Roast’s to a large selection of freshly prepared sandwiches, burgers and pies.
The interior combines contemporary design with an industrial chic style heritage – such as the white tiled bar, a large reclaimed slopping wooden raft roof crate, leather couches, high leather chairs, wooden cable reel tables, exposed bulb lights fixtures and much more.
