Manchester is about to get ugly… Coyote Ugly!
Coyote Ugly Saloon is now be recognised as one of the most famous and exciting bars on the planet but the Coyote Ugly legend began with a girl, a dream, and a little bit of Wild Turkey. In 1992, Liliana “Lil” Lovell, a 24-year-old Wall Street apprentice-turned-bartender was doing a job she loved, making money, and gaining notoriety for her antics on the bar as well as behind it. Tired of working for other people, she was ready to make her move. The plan was simple: open her own bar, make money, and have fun doing it.
The little bar in New York City drew Hollywood’s attention with its loud music, hard liquor and female bartenders’ dance routines on top of the bar. The wild experience inspired the blockbuster 2000 film, starring Tyra Banks and John Goodman. Coyote Ugly now operates In 26 locations in seven countries; Manchester will become the third venue in the United Kingdom along with Cardiff and Liverpool.
The secret to Coyote Ugly’s success lies in their kick-ass bar tenders. Liliana Lovell will be flying into Manchester to hold interviews for the new team members, who will be the life and soul of the party.
