Record Store Day on Saturday 22nd April will see Cottonopolis host 15 HOURS OF VINYL to celebrate the day which champions the culture of independently owned record stores.
The monumental all-day event will see special guest Nik Weston of Mukatsuku Records make his Cottonopolis debut. The resident DJ of South London’s Soul Train previously worked with labels such as Universal, Verve and Impulse. Nik later launched his own label Mukatsuku Records which has recently celebrated 10 years of releases crossing the genres of funk, soul, disco, afrobeat and jazz.
Mr. Scruff will be playing a full hour of never heard before dub plates from 5-6pm, freshly cut that very afternoon at the Brighter Sound & Birds Hit Records vinyl weekender workshop. All the artists involved will be down too!
